Let’s admit it, we all find excuses to not pursue our aspirations, goals and dreams.
Our “excuses” seem perfectly reasonable and justified; backed with situations and circumstances we don’t have control over.
However, like a wise man once said “Excuses are lies we tell ourselves so that we believe it's not our fault”.
It’s harsh but true!
We live in a world where nobody cares about anyone’s situations, excuses, hardships or what goals or aspirations they may have.
This is a results based world where the results matter not the process or the situations and sacrifices you may had to go through to get to that outcome.
Results and excuses can’t coexist!
Imagine yourself walking into a car dealership and introducing yourself as someone who has had a rough life but is very caring, hardworking just lacking the money to buy the Bentley.
Would the salesperson offer you the car just from the goodness of your heart or the lack of opportunities you may have had?
No!! They would not.
Life does not work like that.
Sadly, your good heart won’t pay your bills, you will have to work to pay off your expenses.
Excuses are tools of the incompetent. Some people are not able to be successful or achieve what they have aimed for because they rely too much on their excuses.
They will make excuses and get into self-pity instead of driving strength out of their tough circumstances.
Popular excuses we tell ourselves
Some of the most common excuses for the future of failure are:
– I don’t have enough time
– I’m not talented enough
– I don’t have the right opportunities i.e. chances, circumstances
– I’m too old/too young
– I don’t know how to do it
– I’m scared
– I don’t know where to start
– the list goes on and on…
None of the above are justified, they’re just cover-ups for us to get away for not pursuing what we want in life.
Don’t be paralyzed by your fears!
If you are reading this, please know that you are not incompetent.
Everyone is born with a potential to be good at something and to achieve something in life.
One just needs the will power, mind power along with big dose of dedication to achieve whatever they want in their life.
You don’t have to look outside yourself for inspiration, look within and find your strength.
Look at the mirror, and commit to yourself and your future success.
Everyone was made and created to do something magnificent with his or her life.
But in order to tap into that power you first need to change your mindset.
How to stop making excuses
You can’t change the world without changing yourself first.
We will only succeed when we stop telling ourselves why we can’t do something, and start living a life that shows we can and we will.
Trials and failures will come.
The bills may pile up, the credit cards may start calling, and people may say no to you and even make fun of you for chasing something that you believe in.
But at the end of the day, the choice is yours…
Do you take in all the dirt the world throws at you, internalize it and give up?
Or do you stick to your guns and focus on what you are set out to do and what you want to accomplish.
All that matters is what you think about yourself.
You are more than capable of doing what you set out to do whether it be building a business, getting an education or being a better person in general.
You are capable of succeeding if you choose to do so, it’s a choice you have to make.
No matter what comes your way, you need to make the decision that although you may fall down you won’t stay down.
As long as you have breath in your body, you can do it and you can win.
If you have the determination, the sky is the limit and you can do anything. (As corny as that sounds)
Realize that you are destined for greatness.
Tell your excuses NOT TODAY!
Nobody has time for that anyways.
You are so much more than that; take it, receive it and claim it.
Be a boss entrepreneur and live an extraordinary life!
